- 150g lite butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups breakfast bran flakes
- 1 1/2 cups sultanas
- 1 Tbspn cocoa
- 1 cup wholemal flour
- 1 tspn baking powder
- Icing sugar (optional)
Step 1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
Step 2. Line a shallow 18 x 28cm baking tin with baking paper.
Step 3. Melt butter and sugar in a large saucepan.
Step 4. Remove from heat and add bran flakes, sultanas, cocoa, flour and baking powder. Mix well.
Step 5. Press mixture into prepared baking tin.
Step 6. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Step 7. Allow to cool in tin before cutting.
Step 8. Sprinkle with a little icing sugar to serve.
